This is a special event being offered to beekeepers who are wanting to know what to do next to ready their bees for winter. We will review the condition of each attendees honeybees and discuss the best next step to get ready to over winter the colonies. With odds for survival not in beekeepers (or the bees more importantly) over the past many years, it is vital that all possible is done to assure our hives make it through the upcoming winter.
Should you harvest all the fall honey or leave it on for the bees?
What is the best condition for hives if they are to survive a Michigan winter?
How can we assure the best start in the spring for those who do survive?
Is it luck? Is it preparation?
Is it even possible for us to turn around the morbid stats of the past several years?
At Blossomland we believe that we need to continue these conversations together as we learn all the bees can teach us. So please join us for a day committed to turning around the state of the bees. To be held in August at 10AM, scheduled to be done about 2pm. Class date to be determined additional details will be provided nearer to the day of class.
